🌿 Chonburi Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden — Guide

Nong Nooch is located in Chonburi Province, about 17–18 km from central Pattaya. It’s one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most diverse tropical gardens, with themed gardens, cultural performances, and a plant conservation mission. The botanical collection has over 19,528 plant accessions representing more than 12,000 species (as of 2020).

🎯 Highlights & What to See
• Themed Gardens:
  • French Garden with formal layouts and decorative sculptures
  • Italian Garden, Orchid & Bromeliad Displays, Cactus & Succulent Garden, etc.
  • Stonehenge Garden — stone formations among floral scenes.
  • Dinosaur Valley — life-size dinosaur models integrated into garden settings.
• Cultural Shows & Performances: Traditional Thai dances, martial arts, elephant performances are held daily.
• Educational / Conservation Role: The garden plays a role in ex situ conservation, especially of cycads (ancient plant groups).

⏱ Practical Info
• Opening Hours: Typically 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Tickets: Prices vary for foreigners vs Thai nationals. (Check in advance via booking platforms or the garden’s official site)

💡 Tips & Suggestions
• Allow a full day — there’s too much to cover in only a few hours.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes, carry water, and maybe a hat / sunscreen.
• Time your visit to catch a cultural show.
• Some sections (especially themed ones) are highly photogenic — plan your route to maximize visuals (e.g. French garden, orchids, Stonehenge).
