📍Ephesus Ruins/Izmir, Türkiye

Izmir, a city on the Aegean coast 🪸

Ephesus, located about an hour's drive from Izmir's Adnan Menderes Airport, is a World Heritage Site 🌿

It is the largest archaeological site in Turkey, and the largest existing Greek civilization ruins 👀✨

Libraries, marble streets, temples, amphitheaters, and even remains of toilets used by people at that time remain 🫢
It is an amazing structure, and it is amazing that such a city-state was built in the 12th century BC. 🥺🫧

Not only was it the overall grandeur of the ruins, but the intricate designs and letters on each stone, as well as the slight differences in color, made it such a shame that I couldn't take my time to look at them all. 🥰

I also found a single heart shape among the mosaic tiles left on the floor near the temple. 👀🫶 So cute 🤍🤍🤍🤍
I wondered what the ancient Romans were thinking when they made the heart shape, and it made me feel strange. 💭
