The Library of Celsus in Epheso 📚

The Library of Celsus is one of the most important landmarks and tourist attractions of Ephesus. This place is an impressive archeological gem, its facade is a beautiful and its reconstruction from ruin was a total success.

There is so much history involved in this place so you might need a tour guide to know all details or talk to local people. This is the kind of places you must feel proud to visit and enjoy in person as it’s part of the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The Library of Celsus, with its rather crowded columns and prominent cornices, was re-erected in the 1970s by Austrian archaeologists. The library itself was originally three stories high and entirely faced with coloured marble.
