Sendai's "Jogi Nyorai Saihoji Temple Main Hall" 800 years of prayers for peace

The Amida Buddha, the center of gravity of the Taira clan and the origin of Sadayoshi Taira, was carefully protected by Lord Sadayoshi Taira, who prayed for peace. This is the main hall where the principal image is enshrined.

Jogi Nyorai Saihoji is said to grant your once-in-a-lifetime wish, and is always crowded with worshippers. On the day we visited, there were several groups of people waiting to receive prayers. I quietly prayed for the peace that exists today 😊
