Sendai Dai Kannon, the largest Guanyin statue 🙏🏻

This is the largest Kannon statue in Japan. We can go inside the statue. It is very tall. You can walk around 12 floors!

Behind the statue, there is a small shrine. They say that it is very sacred. Start by walking to the small office building next door. Donate 300 yen and you will get a bow to write your wishes. The pink bow is for your love life and the purple bow is for your work. After writing your wishes on the bow, take it out to worship at the shrine and pour oil on the statue inside. Then tie the bow on the outside. (The first time we prayed for a job, it was granted. We went again.)

⏰ Open: 10:00-15:00 (Sat-Sun closes at 15:30)
🚃 Travel: Take the train to Sendai Station and take the bus to Sendai Daikannon Mae (platform 18 or 19 is fine.)
