#100TravelWays Seongsan Ilchulbong is located in the eastern part of Jeju Island, South Korea. It is one of the famous natural attractions on Jeju Island and was listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. This volcanic cone mountain with an altitude of about 182 meters was formed in the late Pleistocene, about 40,000 to 120,000 years ago, by an underwater volcanic eruption. The volcanic crater is 600 meters wide. Seongsan Ilchulbong is famous for its magnificent sunrise views and is especially popular among mountaineering and photography enthusiasts. Visitors can follow the trail to the top, overlooking the beautiful coastline of Jeju Island and experiencing the magnificence and wonders of nature.
After checking your ticket, you can follow the hiking route to a place close to the top of the mountain. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the sea view. The blue ocean is breathtakingly beautiful. You can also overlook Niu Island at the end of the trail!
Walking down to the beach, there is a house of female divers, and there are performances by female divers at fixed times!
After the walk, you can go to the souvenir shop at the parking lot to buy souvenirs! I bought the guardian of Jeju Island - Stone Grandpa (still holding an orange 🍊)!
