Yangzhou Art Museum was completed and opened to the public on September 26, 2010. It has a construction area of ​​14,134 square meters, a total of 4 floors and a total height of 24 meters. The shared atrium is an open public space with an area of ​​approximately 2,000 square meters, which can be used to host opening ceremonies for various exhibitions.

With the atrium as its core, the exhibition halls are arranged north and south of the atrium, featuring five independent exhibition halls and a ramp-accessible sculpture exhibition hall. These halls can host both national individual art exhibitions and provincial comprehensive art exhibitions. Each hall has a ceiling height of 6 meters, accommodating exhibits of larger areas and heights. The first floor houses the first exhibition hall, an enclosed exhibition hall covering approximately 600 square meters, along with merchandise, a visitor lounge, and a VIP lounge. The second and third floors house the second and third exhibition halls, totaling 1,323 square meters, and are open to the public. The third floor houses the fourth and fifth exhibition halls, totaling 1,274 square meters, enclosed boutique exhibition halls and a painting collection room. The fourth floor houses the artist's studio and office areas.

The 80-meter-long ramp leading from the atrium to the second-floor exhibition hall primarily displays sculptures by local artists. The total exhibition route throughout the museum is approximately 700 meters. A circular, slanted skylight at the top of the atrium allows the entire museum to fully utilize natural light, supplemented by artificial lighting, greatly satisfying the museum's lighting requirements. The museum serves a comprehensive range of functions, including exhibitions, sales, collections, research, and leisure.
