[Seoul/Hongdae] The pork bone soup kalguksu is delicious

[Kalguksu with Gamja Soup]

Hongdae area, easier to access from the neighboring Hapjeong Station,
I went to eat kalguksu made with soup made from simmered gamja (pork backbone) used in gamjatang!
Three large pieces of tender meat, sweet meat and lightly drinkable soup, chewy guksu, colorful green onions and shredded egg on top!
Fashionable! And the quantity is amazing!
You can dip the meat in the tadegi (sauce) that comes with it,
or mix the tadegi to adjust the flavor.
I preferred the normal flavor without the garlic spiciness 🫰🏼
The kimchi and bukochu were both lightly spicy, which I liked 🫶
I also ordered mandu, which was meaty but not oily and delicious!
But I was so full that I had to order pojang for the mandu and ate it at the hotel 🍺

I arrived at 14:15, just before the last order for lunch, and they let me in.
There were two groups, and the couple who tried to enter at 14:25 had been turned away, so I was safe ⚠️
Everyone left while I was eating, and the staff took a break.
Even during the meal, I asked for pojang and cashiered, and they were happy to help me.
※All conversations were in Korean.

If you're here for sightseeing, it's a bit remote, but
it was worth the trip!
It might be cheaper to go to Mangwon Market!
