Introducing Longqi Mountain

Longqishan Nature Reserve, a southeastern extension of the Wuyi Mountains, is named after the ancient legend of a dragon lurking there. Located at the junction of Jiangle and Mingxi counties in northwestern Fujian, Longqishan Nature Reserve is a provincial-level nature reserve in Fujian Province. The reserve boasts towering mountains, dense forests, towering ancient trees, and flowing streams.

The Longqishan Nature Reserve boasts nearly 60,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of pristine forest, making it a rare and unique natural botanical garden in my country. It boasts seven vegetation types, 24 clusters, over 130 families, and nearly 300 tree species, including the prized southern yew, cryptomeria, golden pine, and cypress, as well as exotic flowers like Michelia, sedge, crabapple, and camellia. It's also an animal kingdom, home to over a hundred rare species, including tigers, leopards, bears, monkeys, antelopes, raccoons, and giant salamanders. Birds are also abundant.

The best time to visit is spring and autumn; Sanming is dominated by mountains, rivers and forests, with flowers blooming in spring and forests covered in vibrant colors in autumn.
