I went to Wangbijik Yukkojeom, a popular yakiniku restaurant in Myeongdong, Seoul, Korea.
This is Wangbijik Yukkojeom's 6th store in Myeongdong. At the store, there are limited menus such as a kamameshi set and bone-in pork ribs, where you can enjoy various dishes at reasonable prices.
The staff personally go out and check out the high-quality meat, and the Korean beef is grade 1+ or higher approved by the agricultural cooperative. You can eat on traditional brass tableware and square brassware used by royalty and aristocrats.
■LA Kalbi Kamameshi Set Lunch 22,000w
The popular LA Kalbi is characterized by its unique cutting method. It is said that it was named after a cutting method discovered in Koreatown, Los Angeles, that allows you to see the cross section of the bone that is perpendicular to the ribs.
By cutting the bone together, you can also enjoy the umami that melts from the bone, resulting in a rich flavor. LA Kalbi is bone-in kalbi seasoned with a sweet and spicy sauce.
Apart from the kimchi, the contents of the Kamameshi set meal change depending on the season. It comes with side dishes such as lettuce, sweet and spicy dried squid (Ojin Omu Jjim), japchae, miso jjigae (doenjang jjigae) and kamameshi (jot bap).
The menu is written in Japanese, so it's easy to understand. This is a yakiniku restaurant that you can go to even if you're alone.
