This time I came to Seoul and chose to live in Gongdeok, which has convenient transportation. I checked out what delicious food nearby I could try. It happened that the famous pig's trotter street in Seoul is in the nearby Gongdeok Market (line 5 Gongdeok). (Five minutes walk from Exit 5 of Deok Station), so I ran to take a look👀
I originally wanted to try a restaurant called Gongzhong Pig's Knuckle, but unfortunately the store happened to be renovating. I wanted to visit the market first since we were all here. The market is not very big and we came quite early. Many stores had just opened and were preparing. In the middle of shopping, an aunt suddenly ran out of the store and said a lot of Korean to me. Although I didn’t understand it, I probably guessed: Come, sit inside, our restaurant is delicious! So I sat in with her kind invitation.
Because we were the first group of guests, the aunt greeted us warmly and helped us order. As soon as she found out that we were from Taiwan, she immediately pointed up and asked me to watch it. It turned out that she had visited a Taiwanese food program and the host was Guo Jing. Oh my god. It must have been too long ago😆. After a while, the dishes were served. I felt full just when I was taking pictures. I had done my homework and knew that ordering pig's feet would come with side dishes, soup and blood sausage, but I didn't expect it. That’s a lot of portions! ! But in addition to the spicy and salty miso soup, the pig's trotters + kimchi and lettuce really go together well. You won't feel tired after eating several in a row. The pig's trotters themselves are also very tender and delicious. The blood sausage is not what I imagined sausages to be. The taste is a bit soft and glutinous, but it goes very well with the rose salt on the side. I almost finished the meal without realizing it. In the end, the aunt kept saying service and invited us to drink rice wine. It was really kind and cute☺️
P.S. When my aunt saw me taking pictures all the time, she probably thought I was a YouTuber or something, so she gave me a business card and said a bunch of Korean words. I guess she meant to help her promote it, don’t worry, auntie, I have it😎
The overall service experience is great, the portions are sufficient, and you can last a long time after finishing the meal😆 It is recommended that those who like or want to experience traditional market food can give it a try
