Transportation Tips: Fly directly from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc Island. Round-trip tickets are super cheap, but you need to choose the airline carefully and make sure to return early, preferably between 1 and 2 p.m., as the flight may be delayed by 2 to 4 hours, leaving you hungry and tired. Meals at the airport are also expensive, which ruins your mood for traveling.
Must-see attractions: You can join the island hopping package tour, which costs about NT$2,000 per person for one day. Breakfast is provided by yourself and Chinese food is included.
Recommended restaurant: Many restaurants on the island are ridiculously expensive. Later, I asked the locals and found a seafood restaurant called ‘Xin chào’ (hello). The food is delicious, cheap and clean. It is definitely a good choice.
Must-eat food: If you can eat sour, salty and spicy food, anything is good, it's worth a try
Shopping Guide: Phu Quoc Island is famous for its pearl farming and rich and diverse seafood. You can visit, try the seafood, and buy if you like it.
