While traveling by train from Dongdaemun, I came across a hodukaja (walnut bun) specialty store called "HODU BOOM🇰🇷

I found it when I was changing trains so I can't remember which station it was, but I think it was probably inside Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station🤔

A freshly baked Hodukaja shop run by an uncle and auntie who seem to be a married couple🥚

There were three flavors: red bean, custard, and red bean & cream cheese, so I bought a mix of nine pieces🫘

It was freshly baked so the outside was crispy and it had a different texture than the usual pre-made castella-like dough✨
