Day 1
In the early morning, I stepped into the Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, located on the south bank of the Han River. This art space, which combines modern and traditional elements, attracts countless art enthusiasts with its unique architectural style and precious collections. The museum's exhibits of traditional Korean crafts and modern artworks complement each other, giving a profound sense of cultural continuity and innovation. The gallery that juxtaposes traditional ceramics with contemporary installation art is particularly striking, offering a visual experience that transcends time. After the visit, I strolled along the museum's outdoor paths, enjoying the fresh early winter scenery. In the afternoon, I headed to Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, a street lined with various designer shops and cafes. I sat down in an art-themed cafe, quietly savoring the slow pace of Seoul.
Day 2
The second day's itinerary began at Bukchon Hanok Village. This well-preserved traditional Korean village seems to transport visitors back to ancient Seoul. Walking through the winding alleys, I felt the fascinating blend of traditional architecture and the surrounding urban landscape. In the afternoon, I visited PLATEAU, a branch of the Samsung Museum of Art, to appreciate the charm of modern sculptures and outdoor art spaces. The exhibits here emphasize a dialogue with nature, quietly narrating another kind of tranquility within the city. In the evening, I overlooked Seoul's nightscape from Namsan Park. The dazzling city lights intertwined with the day's artistic atmosphere, providing a perfect conclusion to the journey.
