Sakura Valley is located in Jierong Sakura Valley, Huanglin Town, Xinfeng County, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, with a total area of more than 800 acres. Sakura Valley has become the largest and most diverse cherry blossom viewing spot in Guangdong. It is also the first comprehensive agricultural tourism area with cherry blossoms as its theme in Guangdong Province.
There are over 20 varieties of cherry blossoms in the area, with the most common varieties being the Yaezakura and Kanhizakura. The Yaezakura, also known as the Guanshan variety, has flowers ranging from white to deep pink and blooms later. The name "Yaezakura" stems from its triple petals. Kanhizakura, with its vibrant red color, is well-suited to warmer climates but not cold-tolerant, and blooms in late January.
Strings of cherry blossoms hang from the branches like bells. On either side of the hillside, cherry trees in full bloom resemble a crimson cloud. A closer look reveals the most numerous are the double-flowered cherry blossoms, their slender, drooping stalks resembling red lanterns. Against a backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, clusters of blossoms sway gently in the breeze, creating a sense of wonder and wonder, akin to a fairyland.
