I visited Banpo Hangang Park as a picnic spot near Seoul on a weekend afternoon. It is popular as a picnic spot because of its wide lawn, open riverside scenery, and the gorgeous 'Moonlight Rainbow Fountain' at night.

1. Location and Accessibility

Banpo Hangang Park is located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and can be reached in about 10-15 minutes on foot from Express Bus Terminal Station on Subway Line 3 or Sinbanpo Station on Subway Line 9. It is easily accessible because it is close to the center of Hangang Park.

2. Picnic Spot

There is a wide lawn, benches, and parasols in the park, so anyone can easily enjoy a picnic if they bring a mat. There are many convenience stores, food trucks, and restaurants that offer delivery nearby, so you can easily eat. Hangang Ramen is especially popular because you can cook it on site.
