Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Club Room Experience

I managed to grab a great deal in advance. I've been eyeing the afternoon tea experience at this hotel for over a year, and when I saw a reasonable offer, I booked it right away.

When browsing hotels, I usually get a sense of the price range. If the price drops below my set threshold, I make a reservation. I also consider additional benefits when booking.

This time, I booked a Club Junior Suite Room with club lounge access for two, along with two gifts: Gucci perfume and Piper-Heidsieck champagne. It’s a fantastic deal! Of course, staying on weekends incurs an additional cost of around 300,000 KRW, but I opted for a weekday stay.

The club afternoon tea time is from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and I plan to arrive around 4 PM. Check-in is conducted at the Club Lounge on the 34th floor, and I enjoy the afternoon tea right after checking in. In Korea, the price is the same whether you book for one or two people, unlike in Japan where the price varies based on the number of guests.

Although I booked for two, I’ll be staying alone. It’s not easy for my mother to join me for a staycation. I’ve already written a separate review of the afternoon tea, so feel free to refer to that. After enjoying the atmospheric afternoon tea at the high-floor Club Lounge, I head to my room, which is assigned as Room 3022 on a high floor.

The view faces Teheran-ro with office buildings in front. While you can see Lotte World Tower if you turn your head, the city view doesn’t feel particularly open or expansive.

The renovated Junior Suite Room boasts excellent conditions comparable to a brand-new hotel. The living room and bedroom are separated into distinct spaces. The study area and living room are combined, with a spacious and pleasant study area by the window. However, the space between the sofa and TV feels a bit cramped, making it slightly inefficient.

The bathroom and dressing room are connected in a convenient circular layout, with one restroom. The shower booth has some water stains on the tiles, and the bathtub is on the smaller side. Bubble bath products are provided as a standard, and the amenities are large-sized Byredo products. Turn-down service is available upon request, and they provide a sleep set.

Towels, soap, and other items are replenished with new ones. Some construction noise from the Samsung Station intersection can be heard faintly, but the bedding is comfortable.

Next is the cocktail hour. You can choose one main dish out of two options: lamb chops or sea bass. I chose the sea bass, and it was quite good. Other menu items include beef ribs, steak, shrimp tempura, fish cutlets, salmon, smoked duck, desserts, and fruits. However, champagne is not included in the alcoholic beverages.

They also prepare cocktails on the spot, and the taste, enhanced by the expert touch, is excellent. If you need rice, you can request it.

The next morning, breakfast is served at the same Club InterContinental. Depending on the situation, guests may be directed to the Grand Kitchen instead. Egg dishes are made to order. As it’s a lounge breakfast, the variety is somewhat limited due to space constraints, but most of the dishes are excellent. Options include tomahawk steak, marinated shrimp, inari sushi, grilled fish, and assorted dim sum.

The live station offers kimchi noodle soup, and the bakery, fruit, and drink selections are well-prepared. After checking in, I spent my time fully relaxing within the hotel. Thank you.
