Roynet Hotel Seoul Mapo, a great hotel for a vacation in Mapo~!

A very familiar brand hotel, it opened in Korea as Roynet Hotel without the name of the parent company, Daiwa, so it seems to have lost its Japanese flavor.

I tried to stay at this hotel, but for some reason, the reservation page was full. So I stayed at the Seoul Garden Hotel across the street first and stopped by the reception here.

At that time, I was informed by the staff that there was a problem with the interior of the guest rooms and that they were undergoing renovation and that they would reopen soon.

The reception is on the 3rd floor and the guest rooms are from the 4th to the 24th floor. I made a basic standard double room on the reservation site.

When checking in, Japanese hotels sometimes upgrade and sometimes restrict paid upgrades. So I make suggestions myself and sometimes use them.

I listen to the suggestions and if the price is reasonable, I proceed. If it is cheaper than what the reservation site initially says, there is no reason to refuse^^

I also inquired here and paid for a premium double room upgrade. It's about 20,000 won cheaper than booking on a website.

This is a hotel that operates without a separate restaurant, and breakfast is served at Gyeongbokgung Palace on the 2nd floor. Daiwa Roynet in Japan also operates 3 out of 4 locations under contract.

The room was assigned to the 23rd floor, and the elevator stops only on the floor where you stay with your card key. They said the window would open when you checked in, but it was stuck with screws and wouldn't open.

There is a lounge space on the 23rd floor, but it's currently closed and will open soon. The view from the room is better than you'd think.

It's similar to the other 4 places I stayed at in Mapo, but the view is better because of the location. You can see the Han River between the 63 Building and the gap between the buildings. Thank you.
