A hotel that evokes emotion, Savoy Hotel in Myeongdong, built in 1957 as the first private hotel in Korea!

#Emotional Accommodation

This is the first private hotel in Korea, built in 1957. The new building where we stayed was also expanded in 1968, boasting a long history.

I don't remember exactly, but I think they said that the elevator was one of the few models left in Korea. It was so narrow that it could only accommodate 4~5 people.

It's a place that makes you emotional just by taking the elevator.

I booked the most basic room, the Junior Twin Room, but when I checked in, they upgraded me to the next level, the Standard Twin Room, and gave me a room with a view on the top floor, the 8th floor.

It's a building structure where you're stuck in a forest of buildings, and more than half of the windows face inside the hotel, so there's almost no view. Thank you for giving me a nice room.

There's an ultra-large air conditioner on the floor that looks like it came from the 80s. The bathroom is as tall as a staircase, like a Japanese business hotel.

Even though it's narrow, it's a hotel that meets the needs of Japanese tourists by installing a bathtub and bidet. The windows open wide. You can see the Hanjin Building and Le Meridien Myeongdong.

I didn't expect much from the view, but since it was a Friday night stay during the peak season in early August, I finally got the cheapest place, and it was a lucky moment. I made a room-only reservation for 60,000 won.

More than half of the guests were foreigners. I only saw foreigners in the lobby, in the elevator, and on the guest room floor.

I checked in at around 4 o'clock and went out right away, checked my schedule, and went to my friend's house in Jamsil to play, and then went to sleep around 3 o'clock the next morning. 🤣

The room had two single beds, so the beds were small, but I slept well. It was rainy on and off, but it was quiet because it was located in the middle of the city.

It had traces of the years, but I didn't feel any inconvenience at all. It felt like I had a good, quiet rest during the peak season. Thank you.
