Deoksugung Seokjojeon and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art

#July Travel Support Fund

If you walk along the stone wall road inside Deoksugung Palace,
you will see the Seokjojeon, which was completed in the early 1900s.
The European-style Seokjojeon is strangely harmonized with the traditional palace landscape,
making you feel like you've 'taken a time machine in the middle of Seoul.'

The Seokjojeon West Building has been used as the Deoksugung branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art since 1998.
There are 4-5 modern and contemporary art exhibitions held each year,
where you can see a variety of works ranging from surrealism to modern Korean art.

The exhibition space has a skylight, allowing natural light to come in,
making you feel like you're connecting the two worlds of the traditional palace and modern art.
