Step into Korea’s royal past at Gyeongbokgung Palace, the grandest of the Five Great Palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty. Once inside, you’ll be amazed by the majestic architecture, colourful gates, and tranquil palace courtyards. Don’t miss Geunjeongjeon (Throne Hall), where kings once held state affairs, and Hyangwonjeong Pavilion, a beautiful spot by the pond that looks like a painting!
The palace grounds are wide and open — perfect for slow walks and dreamy photos. Wearing hanbok makes the experience extra special (and entry is free if you wear one!).
Tips:
• Come early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds
• Closed every Tuesday — plan your visit!
• Don’t rush — allow at least 2 hours to explore
