A place worth visiting anytime: Gilsangsa Temple in Seongbuk-dong

Nestled at the foot of Samgaksan Mountain, Gilsangsa Temple is located in a residential area of Seongbuk-dong. It is a Buddhist temple featuring a statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva created by a Catholic sculptor.

In front of the dining hall, the summer trumpet creeper blooms vibrantly, just like the lotus flowers in the pond. It's an even better destination in summer—Gilsangsa Temple in Seongbuk-dong.

⚘ Tip:
Since the village bus drops you off right at the entrance, it's recommended to take the bus when visiting. Walking there can be challenging as the path is uphill.

While visiting Gilsangsa Temple, you can also take the village bus to the nearby Woori Old Stone Museum, which offers beautiful scenery and is worth exploring. On the same day, consider stopping by the Seongbuk Museum of Art and Choi Sunu's Old House as well.
