
The Yellow River Military Culture Expo Park is a new military culture theme park initiated and built by the Yinchuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is located on the eastern tourist line of Yinchuan Binhe New District and is the first window for Yinchuan, China to receive domestic and foreign guests.
The Yellow River Military Culture Expo Park is approximately 30 kilometers from downtown Yinchuan and 6 kilometers from Yinchuan Hedong International Airport. Spanning nearly 4,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), the park, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, is being constructed in three phases. Currently, the main buildings include the reinstalled "Yinchuan Ship," the "Yinchuan Ship Memorial Hall," the Army, Navy, and Air Force Weapons and Equipment Exhibition Hall, and the Peace Square Tourist Area. Phase II construction began at the end of last year, with the majority of the work scheduled for completion by June.
In December 2015, the Yellow River Military Culture Expo Park was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. On April 13, 2018, it was shortlisted for the "100 Magical Northwest Scenic Spots".
Boasting a temperate continental climate, it is an innovative base for national defense education and quality improvement for primary and secondary school students. It is a theme park where domestic and foreign tourists can deeply experience military exploration and military life, especially the life of naval sailors, and feel the charm of military culture. It is also a base for military-themed cultural creation and military-themed film and television shooting, making it a suitable destination for travel in all seasons.
