Seoul Shopping Itinerary

📍 Itinerary Overview

People might say that Seongsu is overly crowded and too main stream but it is popular for a reason and I would recommend paying a visit. It is a hub for temporary pop-up stores from both big global brands and trendy local labels. Keep an eye out for limited-time installations that often offer freebies and exclusive products.

Hongdae is also a great location for shopping. The main streets are packed with everything from major fashion brands to small boutiques, selling trendy clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and more.

Myeongdong is one of Seoul's most famous and busiest districts, a vibrant hub of shopping, street food, and entertainment. It's a must-visit for tourists and a great place to experience the dynamic energy of the city. Be sure to pop into the official stores for famous K-beauty brands as many offer travel size samples by posting a picture on social media.

We stayed at Dongdaemun which offers wholesale markets. In my opinion, the clothes are fairly pricey with many basic pieces. However, it is still enjoyable to walk around after your day out. Be sure to NYU NYU as it offers a wide variety of trinkets that make great souvenirs.

🍜 Local Cuisine

Try out Pyeongyang Naengmyeon while you’re in Seoul as you’re unlikely to find it outside of Korea. There are many Michelin starred options but they can be pretty pricey.

🏠 Accommodation

We stayed at Hotel The Designers DDP which was close to the main Dongdaemun stretch. It was very convenient for late night shopping trips as we could walk back after. There is also plenty of food options available.

💡 Tips

Buy the climate card at any CU store which is great for cheap travel all across Seoul!
