๐ก Visiting the Master Carpenter Lee Seung-eop's House in Namsangol Hanok Village was a profound experience, allowing me to deeply feel the old-world charm.
The exterior of the house retained the elegant simplicity unique to traditional Hanok architecture, with the grain of the wood and the lines of the roof tiles harmonizing to create a classic and serene atmosphere. Upon entering the house, the well-divided spaces conveyed the craftsmanship of the artisans of the time. Sitting on the daecheongmaru (main wooden floor) and looking out at the courtyard, I felt a sense of modesty and coziness. The seamless connection between the rooms and the maru (wooden floor) offered both convenience and traditional beauty.๐ฎ
Particularly striking were the meticulously crafted wooden elements and the neat arrangement throughout the house, which seemed to embody the wisdom and aesthetics of our ancestors. Overall, Lee Seung-eop's house is a space where the tranquil beauty of Hanok and the skill of master artisans come alive. Even a brief visit provided a meaningful experience of stepping back into the past.๐
