[Korea] A 24-hour jjimjilbang on the third basement floor of a shopping mall♨️

Ever since I experienced a jjimjilbang in Busan, I've always found a local jjimjilbang or sauna every time I visit Korea. This one in Dongdaemun is probably my favorite place in Seoul. It's conveniently located, affordable, and the atmosphere isn't the glamorous, internet-famous spa world you'd find at Spa World, but the calm, clean, and quiet Korean-style setting is quite charming.
First, let's talk about the location: it's just off Exit 14 of Dongdaemun Culture Park Station. This jjimjilbang is located three or four floors underground. The entrance feels like a budget hotel, but the receptionist is friendly and welcoming.
After putting your shoes away, change in the bathroom. You can shower first and then use the spa pool or the oven steam room. The hot springs here are also Korean-style and quite fun. However, the bathrooms only provide soap, so if you're bothered, bring your own or buy shampoo and body wash at the counter.
The jjimjilbang is located in B4. The oven is filled with various herbal sachets, including motherwort, and the high temperature makes you sweat quickly. The most interesting part is the low-temperature room, which is like a large refrigerator, with frosted condensation tubes hanging on the wall, which instantly cools you down. The outdoor rest areas are quite interesting. There's a large pavilion for relaxation, and for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, there's also a smaller, hanok-style room. Because I had a late flight that day, I unexpectedly took a nice nap here in the afternoon.
By the way, since the subway line runs underground, you can feel the vibrations of the trains passing by while you're relaxing, which is quite a unique experience. The food court accepts cash or credit cards, and the sweet rice syrup is quite cold, making it a perfect cup after steaming.
