[Kuala Lumpur Travel] Beautiful architecture and great photo opportunities at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is not only Malaysia's most important international gateway, but also a masterpiece of architecture that blends nature and modern design. Terminal 1, designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa, is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a tropical rainforest-inspired experience while waiting for your flight. Terminal 2, inspired by origami airplanes, was a collaboration between Malaysian and AAP Architects, creating a streamlined, modern space.

The airport itself is also well-equipped, with a wide selection of restaurants and cafes. We chose Din Tai Fung this time. Although pork isn't available in a Muslim country, the chicken chop fried rice and chicken dumplings were still excellent, with tender, juicy, and filling flavors, making for a satisfying meal. We also visited Starbucks afterward and discovered the adorable bear figurines designed by Malaysian artists. They're a true local favorite. Overall, waiting at KLIA is not only comfortable but also full of surprises, allowing for a relaxing and enjoyable experience as we prepare for our next journey.
