The Memorial Hall of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army's Crossing of the Dadu River was officially opened on May 24, 2004, in Anshun Village, Anshun Township, Shimian County, Sichuan Province. The name of the hall was inscribed by Comrade Jiang Zemin. The exhibition hall, themed on promoting the spirit of the Red Army, is divided into five sections: the Long March, the Battle of the Dadu River, the Red Army's Long March through Ya'an, the tragic song of King Yi, and historical commentary.

Anshunchang is well-known both at home and abroad as "the place of tragedy of the Wing King and the place of victory of the Red Army". It vividly records two tragic historical pictures in modern Chinese history: the defeat of the Wing King Shi Dakai of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in Zidadi, and the successful crossing of the Dadu River by 17 brave warriors of the Red Army. These two historical events with completely different outcomes not only have extremely important historical positions in politics, military, culture and other aspects, but are also the most precious cultural and spiritual wealth left to us by our predecessors.
