Legend of the Centipede Temple

According to legend, a young man who achieved fame and fortune failed to show gratitude and filial piety to his mother upon returning home. As punishment, he was turned into a ‘rock ship’ located at Bukit Jung. A centipede, believed to be the reincarnation of the young man’s mother, is often seen beside the rock.
