A Cool Labyrinth to Escape Seville's Scorching Sun
Even in October, Seville's daytime temperatures remain high, but the Alcázar Gardens serve as a lush oasis in the heart of the city, thanks to their dense trees and ever-flowing water. This expansive garden is divided into several smaller gardens, each with its own unique theme and atmosphere. My personal favorite was the wide area filled with palm trees and exotic plants. It felt like stepping into a tropical botanical garden, and the well-maintained greenery was a refreshing sight for tired eyes.
Within the gardens, peacocks roam freely, offering the delightful surprise of encountering these beautiful birds unexpectedly. Their vibrant feathers add to the exotic charm of the lush surroundings. The Alcázar Gardens are not just about plant arrangements; they embody the wisdom of the Moors, who designed the space to create a micro-climate using water, effectively combating Seville's heat. I highly recommend experiencing both the fiery allure of Seville and the cool tranquility of these gardens. After exploring, don't forget to take a break near the 'Cenador del León' (Lion's Pavilion).
