Royal Alcázar of Seville Garden

An Exotic Oasis Breathing a Thousand Years of History
The Royal Alcázar of Seville Garden is not just a garden but a living historical site layered with Moorish and Renaissance cultures. When I visited in October, the warm yet non-humid weather allowed for a leisurely stroll through this vast garden. Spanning 7 hectares, the garden occupies more than three-quarters of the palace area, making it a destination worth exploring on its own. The tiled benches and geometric flower beds scattered throughout the garden perfectly showcase the intricate Islamic style combined with the elegance of Spanish Renaissance.
The most impressive spot was the underground garden known as **'Baños de Doña María de Padilla' (Maria Padilla's Baths)**. The mysterious atmosphere created by the grand arched ceilings and still water in this deep, sunlit underground space gives the illusion of stepping into another world. Its exotic ambiance was so striking that it served as the backdrop for the Kingdom of Dorne in the TV series 'Game of Thrones.' If you visit Seville, I highly recommend exploring every corner of this garden to experience a peaceful oasis created by historic architecture and exotic plants. Set aside at least two hours to wander slowly and soak it all in.
