The Mausoleum of the Yarkand Khans

The Mausoleum of the Yarkand Khans, also known as Altun Mazar, is a historical site in Shache County, Xinjiang, located north of Altun Darwaza between the old and new towns of Shache in Kashgar Prefecture. This ancient mausoleum, initially built in 1533 and expanded over centuries, now covers an area of 1,050 square meters and has become a grand Islamic architectural complex. The royal mausoleum consists of three parts: the Altun Mosque, the Amanishah Khan Memorial Mausoleum, and the royal tomb area. It houses the tombs of twelve khans of the Yarkand Khanate, along with some of their consorts, ministers, and scholars.
