Charcoal drinks?

A Charcoal is a gorgeous (and expensive) Japanese restaurant located in Shanghai Centre. This restaurant has a simple but elegant ambience, perfect for a romantic date or a meeting that requires privacy.

Menus are in English, Japanese and Chinese. So many seafood 🦞 and meat 🥩 options to chose is hard to decide. Also, you will spend minimum 350 RMB in a dinner, of two dishes and no drinks. Drinks are mostly sold in bottle, so add a couple more hundreds. Presentation of the dishes is gorgeous, mostly focused on wangyu barbecue.

Although everything looked delicious, I went for a simple beer and a daifuku (also called daifukumochi, popular Japanese cakes made from a chewy glutinous rice). Very simple but also very good. Not sure if I’ll come back again, too expensive for me.
