Xiamen∣Nan Putuo Temple∣Thousand-year-old Buddhist Holy Land in Southern Fujian

Nanputuo Temple originated in the Tang Dynasty and was rebuilt by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty.
Located under Wulao Peak, next to Xiamen University.

The layout is three halls and seven halls, facing south.
Surrounded by mountains and facing the sea, it has a very Minnan style.
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
Reservation is required to enter the temple.
As long as it is on the same day and three days before the departure date,
Just make an appointment, it's very easy.

Reservation method:
❶ Open WeChat and join the mini program: Nanputuo Temple reservation service platform
❷ Click on the free reservation (real-name registration) in the lower left corner of the mini program
❸ If you want to participate in the free guided tour, please make another reservation by yourself (7 tours a day)
❹ One door number can only make reservations for two people (two codes will be generated)
⋯⋯⋯⋯
In addition to the Guanyin Buddha and other great gods who should be worshiped,
In addition to the various main halls and their exquisite wood carvings,
There are some places that I suggest you pay attention to by the way.
Otherwise, it would be easy to pass by in a blink of an eye, which would be a pity.

❶ Nan Putuo Vegetarian Restaurant/Puzhaolou:
It is said that the vegetarian dishes here are excellent, and they can accept a la carte or set banquets.
Buffet is also available (¥99/person on weekdays; ¥118/person on holidays)

Business hours (scan the QR code on site to queue)
Noon 11.00-14.00
Evening 17.00-19.30

❷ The lotus pond in front of the temple and the life-release pond next to it:
In front of the lotus pond, you can overlook the Petronas Towers.
You can take beautiful photos here.

The 11-story Wanshou Pagoda towering in the Free Life Pond is also worth a visit.
You can circle from right to left to add some merit to yourself.
The fish and turtles in the pond will also greet you from time to time.

❸ Stone sculptures behind the mountain:
At the back/mountain behind the temple,
Along the way you can see beautifully crafted stone carvings/wishing stones.
It is recommended to go with the "Wulaofeng Stone" and "Big Buddha Stone".

There are many coins on the first "Blessing the Country and the People Stone".
It is said that if you can throw a coin and get it stuck on a stone, your wishes will come true.

❹ Wenshu Garden (on the right heading towards the back mountain):
It's also a place that sells consecration magic items.
But if you're lucky, you can see a practicing cat.
**Many believers also stick their money on the threshold

❺ Nanputuo Post Office (go to the right of the exit)
You can buy postcards here, and there is also a stamp collection office.
You can stamp it yourself and send it to a friend or return it to yourself as a souvenir.
If you are lucky, you will see Master sitting at the door and picking up the words for guests.
Just add some sesame oil money.
