The Wukang Building is an 8-storey apartment building built in 1924 in the French Concession of Xujiahui, in the French Renaissance style.
Its distinctive feature is that it makes full use of the triangular land. This land is the starting point of Wukang Road, Xingguo Road, Tianping Road, and Yuqing Road, at the intersection of six roads, opposite Middle Huaihai Road (huaihai). As it is a six-way intersection, if it were divided evenly, it would have a 60-degree intersection, but for some reason, Wukang Building only has a 30-degree intersection, which makes it look like a huge, pointed ship.
There are many cafes around, including Starbucks, and this time we stopped by Laomai Coffee House on the first floor of the Wukang Building. If you want to feel the history, why not have some coffee?
