Hidden gem budget hotel in Shanghai, worth a second stay! Incredible value for money
Hello friends👋, today I want to share a budget hotel in Shanghai that’s totally worth a second visit🎈. Once you stay here, you’ll know—it’s truly amazing!
🔇 Soundproofing and Cleanliness: Newly Renovated Little Happiness
This hotel was recently renovated, so you might notice a slight renovation smell upon check-in, but don’t worry, the overall cleanliness is quite good👍. The rooms are spotless and tidy, creating a comfortable living atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Although the original text doesn’t detail the soundproofing, considering the star rating and building quality, the soundproofing should be decent. It effectively blocks outside noise, allowing us to rest quietly and get a good night’s sleep🛌~
🏠 Room Type and Layout: Bund View Room with Unbeatable Views
This time I used an Explorer-level GOH voucher and was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Bund view room🎉. The room layout is super reasonable, especially the large floor-to-ceiling window by the side—simply amazing! Standing by the window, you get an unobstructed view of the magnificent Huangpu River, every glance is enchanting, adding a unique charm to the whole stay experience✨. Plus, it’s just a four to five-minute walk from the room to Waibaidu Bridge, the location is incredibly convenient! Nearby attractions are super easy to reach on foot, whether for photo ops or leisurely strolls, it’s extremely comfortable~ Besides the Regent closer to the river, this place’s scenery is uniquely charming, and many foreign friends love staying here~
💺 Amenities and Facilities: Simple and Practical, Slightly Lacking
After renovation, the hotel adopts a minimalist style, which some might find ordinary, but it’s definitely a big improvement from before😃. However, it’s a bit lacking in kid-friendly amenities, with no children’s toiletries or tableware provided, which is quite common for hotels in downtown Shanghai. Fortunately, other standard amenities are well-equipped, meeting basic daily needs, making the stay quite comfortable and convenient~
💰 Average Cost per Person: King of Cost-Effectiveness
Only about 200 RMB per person, this value for money is simply unbeatable🤩! You can enjoy a high-quality accommodation experience for a small amount of money, and even rent a bike~
📌 Other Thoughtful Tips
The hotel offers buffet-style dining, with Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines, plus many Shanghai specialties😍. For example, the restaurant manager recommends the hairy crab rice cake, rich in flavor and unforgettable after one bite, highly praised by everyone. The breakfast is also very abundant, with bread, dim sum, and more—no matter your taste preference, you’ll be fully satisfied and ready to start a wonderful day~
The hotel reopened after renovation, with a greatly improved overall environment. Although there are minor drawbacks, with its excellent Bund views and convenient location, it’s definitely the top choice for sightseeing and traveling in Shanghai🎊. Especially suitable for friends who want to enjoy the Huangpu River scenery and take photos at Bund attractions. Staying here guarantees unforgettable memories, making your Shanghai trip even more exciting~
