Shanghai Film Museum is located on the original site of Shanghai Film Studio, with the earliest building belonging to the Holy Garment Institute built in 1874. After renovation and expansion, a total investment of 900 million yuan has created a 4A-level urban tourist attraction. It is the largest film museum in China, showcasing the charm of a century of Shanghai cinema.
The museum is divided into four main thematic exhibition areas, which are: Hall of Honor, Film Workshop, River of Film History, and Memories of Light and Shadow.
