🌟Highlights:

The Majiagang Camping Site by Dianshan Lake in Kunshan was recommended by a friend last year. After visiting in the spring, I found it to be a real gem of a camping site! (Wild camping site, not for the faint-hearted) This National Day, we came again🙌 Under the sky🌌, in our tents🏕️, with hot pot🍲, fireworks🎆, beautiful scenery and food🌇, we🧑‍🤝‍🧑, along with other like-minded camping enthusiasts, celebrated our country's birthday together🎉

✍🏻Reasons I like this place:

✅ Full of camping enthusiasts from different regions, visiting each other's campsites at night to admire and compete with each other's setups, seeing what good equipment and items others have, sharing experiences in setting up and purchasing camping gear, and getting to know many campers, learning many valuable camping skills.

✅ Plenty of tent pitching sites, with many grassy areas along the Dianshan Lake Huanhu Road next to the lake, where you can choose your preferred spot to set up camp

✅ Close to Shanghai city center, just over an hour's drive away. Great for road trips

✅ Fresh air, unbeatable lake views, excellent visibility, sunrise, sunset, morning glow, evening clouds, stars (weather permitting)

✅ Overnight stays allowed, open fires permitted, and you can even have a small bonfire party, as well as enjoy fireworks freely

✅ Pet-friendly, with large green grassy areas, perfect for walking dogs

✅ There are 2 toilets nearby, relatively clean, but a bit far, about a 10-minute walk

✅ The biggest advantage of choosing to camp overnight during the National Day: saving money! (Avoiding the doubled accommodation costs😁😅)

🗺️Nearby attractions recommended: Oriental Oasis, Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, True Love Pier, Rainbow Road, Dianshan Lake Flower Sea Park, and more

📌Small Tips:

1⃣️ Be sure to arrive early on normal weekends, after 10 o'clock, you won't be able to get a spot by the lake, first come first served, it's really too popular. However, I advise against National Day, it's so saturated that there's nowhere to set up camp😅 We arrived on the evening of the 30th, and luckily got a spot we liked

2⃣️ There's a big temperature difference by the lake at night, so it's recommended to bring a spare jacket

3⃣️ Since it's a wild camping site, there are no extra entertainment facilities, no shops nearby but you can order from outside, it's recommended to bring everything you need for eating, drinking, and playing (kites🪁, frisbees🥏), etc.

4⃣️ Try to choose a spot near the yacht club, the sunset is beautiful here

5⃣️ If you plan to camp overnight, be sure to check the weather before you go

6⃣️ When camping at night, shorten the wind ropes and install ground lights to prevent tripping others, which is the quality a camper should have
