Shanghai Surroundings | Self-driving Camping Guide on Dianshan Lake Ring Road
Dianshan Lake Ring Road is really suitable for 🚗 self-driving travel, and also suitable for 🚴♀️ cycling. Many people camp here by the lake⛺️
📍Navigation destination: True Love Pier
We went here first. There is a parking lot next to it, which is charged. But you can also park on the road, take photos and check in here, which is also quite photogenic.
🗓Attractions
1⃣️Huanhu Avenue: It takes 1 hour to reach Dianshan Lake from Shanghai. It is recommended to drive by yourself. You can drive slowly along the Huanhu Avenue. The road is colorful. At this time, take out your mobile phone to shoot horizontally. It can be said to be very beautiful (you can park on the roadside). Huanhu Avenue is very long and you can rent bicycles in the parking lot (the parking lot is opposite the True Love Pier). Imagine being with the boy you like.
2⃣️True Love Pier True Love Pier: If you drive, you will pass by the True Love Pier, and of course you will walk. There is a parking lot opposite the True Love Pier. There are many people there basking in the sun and flying kites. Breathing the fresh air facing the lake, I feel really happy at that moment (you can walk around the lake and enjoy the breeze. You can bring your pets. I saw many people bringing their dogs out for a walk. (The public toilet is also opposite the True Love Pier)
3⃣️Rainbow Bridge: Rainbow Bridge is not colorful!
Navigation: Rainbow Bridge, drive about 6 kilometers past Dianshan Lake
It’s really great to watch the sunset on the Rainbow Bridge, but we went there in the afternoon and just walked around and took some photos on the bridge, but we left before the sunset, which was a bit of a pity... If we had enough time, we could really wait for a sunset, and the photos taken at sunset would also be very beautiful~
⛺️There are three places to choose from for camping:
1⃣️The [Half Marathon Lawn] at the intersection of Yinghu Road and Huanhu Avenue has a large lawn and is very close to the lake. You can park by the side and there is a public toilet 100 meters away. It is very clean.
2⃣️【Intersection of Wangjin Road and Huanhu Avenue】: There are Metasequoia trees and a large lawn here. The scenery is definitely the best here and it is also more suitable for watching the sunset
3⃣️On the south side of Dianshan Lake Scenic Area, the lawn is relatively narrow, and it is not convenient to set up a tent, but many people lay mats on the ground to sit. You can park by the lake. You can park anywhere by the lake in this section, but not at the intersection of Wangjin Road. The lake view feels almost the same. If you want to watch the sunset, I recommend going to the Metasequoia tree area or the Rainbow Bridge. The grass by the lake is very open and suitable for flying drones and kites🪁
