🔑 The Nanjing Hotel, built in 1931, has gathered many celebrities and is a modern Chinese building with high local reputation in Shanghai. After being renovated in 2017, it became the Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classic under the Jinjiang International Group, with 165 rooms. Old photos are integrated into the hotel decor, telling the heavy history of the city. I really like this kind of elegant old-money design, which is low-key and unpretentious, focusing on quality and content. The arched entrance offers a wide view, the soft big bed comes with a bench at the end where you can lie down casually, the TV can be adjusted to different angles, and the 670💰 king room also has a separate dressing room and bathroom. Staying here really feels like home.
📍 The location is extremely advantageous! The hotel itself is located at the intersection of Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street and South Shanxi Road, quiet in the midst of the bustling city, just a few steps downstairs to the subway lines 2/10, and a few minutes walk to the Bund. There is a police station nearby, giving a strong sense of security.
🖌️ The front desk service is considerate and professional, allowing us to extend the check-out time by one and a half hours when we went out for business. Each floor corridor has a cabinet with mineral water for guests to take. The buffet restaurant on the second floor has a rich variety of dishes. I really like the freshly wrapped small wontons, and a fully automatic smart coffee machine can meet all your coffee needs.
