From ancient times to the present, from the spiritual to the physical, "flow" is not only the fundamental workings of nature but also a symbol of human psychology.

Cobra Gallery's third anniversary special exhibition, "Flow," features new works by seven artists/artist collectives: Ma Kelu, Chen Yujun, Zhao Zihan, Márta Kucsora, Erik Andersen, Marianne Hesselbjerg, and Raka Studio. Through various forms of art and design, they capture these moments of flow.

I had planned to see the exhibition at Suhe Haosi on Sunday, but it had already closed. Who knew the Cobra Gallery I'd always wanted to visit was right across the street? The small gallery, decorated like a high-end furniture store, perfectly complemented the exhibits.

I saw Ma Kelu's "Ah Da" series at West Bund earlier, and it looks even better paired with furniture. Chen Yujun's new works, "Shape of Hometown" and "Growth," and Zhao Zihan's new series, "Rope Work," combine to form a three-piece furniture set, which is truly stunning.
