Sheshan National Forest Park is divided into East and West Sheshan Park, located in two different places. West Sheshan Park is located on the west peak of Sheshan Mountain, 100.8 meters above sea level, covering an area of 52.5 hectares. It is densely forested with pines and bamboos, and has beautiful scenery. On the top of the mountain, there is a dome-shaped building, which is the Shanghai Sheshan Astronomical Museum, and next to it is a red Catholic church. Other attractions in the park include the Xiudaozhe Pagoda, the Congdaoren and Hushuting Pavilion, and the famous Sheshan Observatory and Seismological Station are also located in West Sheshan.
