Visiting the Long Museum West Bund was certainly
an awe-inspiring experience, it's one of the hidden gems in Shanghai. This modern art museum possess striking spaces design, and celebrated for its architectural boldness and eclectic exhibitions. The museum displaying such as oil paintings, sculptures & crafts, plus rotating exhibitions.
Apart from the stunning artwork collections, I was actually extremely impressed with the museum architecture design, featuring vaulted concrete arches, steel grilles and a blend of industrial chic with modernist minimalism. Emphasizing the building’s geometric forms and textured surfaces, the structure integrates remnants of a former coal dockyard, creating a combination between history and contemporary art.
The museum's super high ceiling and spaciousness
is like kind of "cavernous", with echoing atriums
that evoke a bunker-like feel. I'm really loved its uniqueness and tranquil industrial vibe.
