Had a wonderful vegetarian meal this time at Xiang Chun Gu Shi (Jing’an Temple location) — overall, the dishes were great, and the color presentation was stunning.
Malantou with dried tofu: A very refreshing dish, and the tofu was finely chopped.
Crispy handmade tofu patties: Crispy on the outside and tender inside. Paired with ketchup, the sweet and sour flavor was really tasty.
Golden sour soup bamboo feast: A sweet and sour soup with a hint of spiciness that really enhanced the flavor.
Rice noodles in tomato sauce: Very fine rice noodles, and the portion was huge—perfect as a main dish.
Spring bamboo shoot and bamboo fungus soup: The spring bamboo shoots were thinly sliced and had a crisp bite. The flavorful broth made it an excellent dish.
Pumpkin tart: Incredibly smooth and delicate, with a gentle sweetness.
