Just got back from an exciting 5-day trip to Shanghai, and wow – this city is a perfect blend of futuristic skyline, traditional charm, and amazing food! 😍 Whether you’re here for shopping, culture, or family fun, there’s something for everyone.
⸻
🗓️ Trip Highlights:
✅ Day 1 – Arrival & The Bund:
Stunning night view of the skyline from the Bund. Stayed near Nanjing East Road – super convenient for shopping & metro access.
✅ Day 2 – Disneyland Shanghai:
An entire day of fun with amazing parades, Tron coaster (a must!), and Disney popcorn buckets 🎢🎉. Pro tip: buy FastPass in advance!
✅ Day 3 – French Concession & Tianzifang:
Walked through tree-lined streets and cute cafés. Explored quirky art shops and had amazing coffee ☕.
✅ Day 4 – Yu Garden & Chenghuang Temple:
Classic architecture, lanterns, and traditional snacks like soup dumplings (xiao long bao 🥟).
✅ Day 5 – Last-minute shopping at Nanjing Road:
Found some cool local designer items. Great mix of modern malls and traditional street vendors.
⸻
🍜 What We Ate & Loved:
• Nanxiang Steamed Buns – juicy xiao long bao in the Old Town
• Haidilao Hotpot – robot servers, kids play area & free manicures
• Local breakfast stands – try the jianbing (Chinese crepe) for breakfast!
⸻
💡 Tips for First-Time Visitors:
✔️ Get a metro card – it’s the easiest way to move around
✔️ Use translation apps – very helpful when ordering food or shopping
✔️ Bring cashless payment options like Alipay (Tour Pass for foreigners)

📸 Dropping some of my favorite photos below – night views, Disney fireworks, street snacks & more!
Would 100% recommend Shanghai for couples, families or solo adventurers. Already planning a return trip during cherry blossom season! 🌸
