Time on the Cliff at Shanghai Shimao Intercontinental Hotel

Weekend with the kids, my teammate and I brought our little ones to stay at Shanghai Shimao Deep Pit Hotel. These two days felt like a dream falling into a fairyland, and the warmest note in this beauty came from the heartfelt care of every staff member.

At check-in, Miss Seven Gao at the front desk left a deep impression on me. Not only is she beautiful and kind-hearted, but also extremely efficient. She patiently answered all my questions about room views and facility usage, thoughtfully reminded me of the breakfast hours, and kindly upgraded our room to provide the best scenic spot. It was truly amazing 👏

I especially want to thank our dedicated butler this time—Bruce, a tall, slim, and handsome young man. He contacted us the night before our arrival, asked about our arrival time and travel purpose, reminded us to adjust clothing according to the weather changes, recommended nearby walking and family-friendly routes, thoughtfully provided us with nighttime desserts, and even gave an introduction to the cliff’s light and shadow show. Before we left, he specially gave the kids a symbolic Deep Pit bear 🐻. This attention to detail really warmed my heart!

From hardware to service, the Deep Pit Hotel is stunning, truly engraving the word "shock" into your bones—a miracle built inside a hundred-meter-deep pit. But the most unforgettable part is the tenderness hidden in the details. This trip was not only about living in the scenery but also about living in the happiness of being cared for.
