🟠 East Wing of Shanghai Museum
Arrive at the museum right at opening time, 10:00.
Located in Pudong, about a 50-minute taxi ride from central Shanghai 🚖
Shanghai Museum has the East Wing and the People’s Square Wing; the East Wing mainly exhibits Chinese culture.
It’s cool, you can experience Chinese culture, and no reservation is needed, so it’s highly recommended for summer visits in Shanghai.
It’s spacious, so you won’t get bored no matter how many times you visit. Admission is free.

🟠 Digital Gallery
A monitor room on the 2nd floor of the East Wing of Shanghai Museum.
A 180° monitor immerses you in the world of Chinese paintings.
Reservations can be made via WeChat mini-program.
(Search for Shanghai Museum East Wing to find the reservation page.)
I booked the earliest slot from 10:15 to 10:40, and it was bustling with many people. Free admission.

The café and souvenir shop are spacious, and if you have time, you can spend a whole day here leisurely.
The painting-themed ice cream sold at the 2nd-floor café is cute 🌹
There are various flavors, so try your favorite!

I had lunch outside, but there is a large mall right in front of the exit, so it seems like a good place to eat as well.
