Museum tours in Shanghai are highly recommended!!

Weekend outing @ Shanghai Museum and Pakistani curry
📍Shanghai, China

One of Shanghai's popular museums, the Shanghai Museum (East Building)!
It feels so fulfilling that you wouldn’t believe it’s free!

🔷Shanghai Museum East Building
🟠Preparation
No advance reservation is required to enter the East Building itself!
Even just the parts you can enter without a reservation are very satisfying.

Some areas require WeChat reservations, but most are for ages 6 and up.

🟠Number Hall
The only reservation area that allows children under 6 years old is the "Number Hall."
I made a reservation via WeChat the day before and entered.
Chinese history was projected on a giant screen, creating an immersive and beautiful visual experience.
It was enjoyable for children too, so I recommend it for those with preschoolers.

🟠Inside the museum
There were many tables inside, and many people were eating food they brought as lunch.
It was larger, cleaner, and had more rest areas than the Natural History Museum I visited recently. (However, it is farther from the city center than the Natural History Museum.)

Recommended as a weekend outing on bad weather days.
I also thought it would be interesting for guided tours.

🔷All-you-can-eat Pakistani curry
At a Pakistani restaurant called HAMEEM, they offer all-you-can-eat Pakistani curry from 11 AM to 2 PM.
It costs about 120 yuan per adult.
I went quite late in the afternoon, but there were still some customers after 2 PM.
The curry was quite spicy, and there was only one mild curry, so there might be fewer options for preschoolers.
My child ate the mild curry, naan, and sweets.

The staff were very kind and carefully explained how to eat.

The restaurant is clean and located inside a building with many eateries.
They also had baby chairs.

There aren’t many varieties, but it was filling and satisfying.
It was authentic and delicious!
