Zhujiajiao, the ancient waterfront town of Shanghai

If you love ancient cities and riverside towns but don't have time to go all the way to Suzhou, Shanghai has a lovely riverside town to visit.

Zhujiajiao, Shanghai's ancient riverside town, is a perfect place to visit during the cooler weather. It boasts a long history dating back to around 1700 years. The town is relatively quiet and not crowded, and most importantly, it's perfect for wandering through the alleys.

Of course, if you're looking for a retro-inspired photo opportunity, this is also a great place. Inside, you'll find plenty of people dressed in traditional costumes taking photos along the river. The Chinese-style stone bridge, willow trees, and water flow make it look like something out of a period drama. #zhujiajiao #shanghai
