The eastern part of the street is famous for Shanghai's oldest department stores, such as Wing On and Sincere. They were founded in the early 20th century and are still in operation.

Yong An Department Store: Founded in 1918, it is one of China's first national department stores.

🛍 Shopping:
Nanjing Road is a shopper's paradise. Here you can find everything from fashionable Western brands to traditional Chinese goods such as silk and jade.

The street is divided into two parts:
Eastern Part: A historical area with old department stores and a pedestrian zone reminiscent of Shanghai's Arbat Street.

Western Part: A modernized area with youth-oriented shops and large shopping malls.

⏰ Tip: The best time to stroll along Nanjing Road is in the evening, when it's especially colorful.
